What does a founder submit?
A founder signs in and provides a startup name, founder name and contact email, category, listing type, description and any product URL. A for-sale application also requires MRR, an asking price, a margin figure and monthly profit.
The founder contact email is not included in the public startup profile data. Public profiles show the submitted founder name and any product website supplied with the listing.
How does the review process work?
- Awaiting review: the submission is saved and visible to its owner in My Startups.
- Review: a moderator reviews the submitted information and decides whether the listing can be published.
- Published or rejected: an approved listing becomes publicly available. A rejected application remains out of the public catalog, and its owner can read the review note.
Publication is not automatic. Submission currently does not include an automated audit of a billing account, bank account, source-code repository or ownership documents.
Are published financial figures independently verified?
No independent financial audit is implied by publication. Revenue, asking prices and other submitted financial figures should be treated as listing information to investigate.
Before relying on the figures, request source records and reconcile reporting periods, currency, refunds, costs and customer concentration. Use the MRR guide to understand the calculation, and the due diligence checklist to organize the evidence.
What must a buyer verify separately?
Check the seller’s authority to transfer the business, the assets included, product and customer dependencies, contractual obligations, liabilities and the practical handover plan.
A published listing is an introduction to an opportunity. It does not replace a contract, professional due diligence, payment arrangements or confirmation that all required assets have transferred.
What if a listing appears inaccurate?
Use the Contact page and include the startup profile link, the detail that appears inaccurate and the basis for the correction. The team can review the report; a report is not itself a finding about the founder or business.
Common Questions
Does publication mean revenue has been audited?
No. Publication confirms that a listing was approved for display. Buyers should independently verify revenue, profit, ownership and contractual rights.
Can a submitted startup appear immediately?
No. A submission starts awaiting review and becomes publicly available only after approval.
Is submitting a startup free?
Yes. Startup submissions are currently free. Submission does not guarantee publication or sponsored placement.
